A slope of 1:10 is almost insurmountable for people in a wheelchair in icy conditions. The owners originally specified they wanted the steep hillside next to the deck to have year round good looks from evergreens. As our land is very steep, we knew straight away that we wanted to terrace it, inline with what we had already done in our existing garden.
