Such situations include building a basement, but the more common instances when we use retaining walls are gardening and landscaping. Although the location provided beautiful vistas, the steep slopes and small lot size limited use of the tiny backyard. Just remember to use drought tolerant plants.

Build a block retaining wall to add level tiers to your yard, which prevent erosion and provide a perfect place for a flower garden. A yard with a steep slope can be difficult to landscape. I was thinking i could dig down or use an auger and put sonotubes and concrete down and then anchor the wall i like that idea.
