Get Concrete Pergola
Gif. This video shows the steps involved in creating a strong base for your pergola, arbour, gazebo or even deck posts. Any pergola post can be anchored to a wood surface with 90 degree strap brackets.
This design allows you to build the pergola on an existing concrete slab. Material list and sketchup file included to assist with your own build. Wait a day or two for the concrete to cure.
You could opt to mount the pergola frame directly to your siding itself.
I decided that using concrete and steel would be better for longevity. Polycarbonate pergolas are the perfect way to enjoy your pergola anytime of the year. This will connect the pergola posts to the footings or slab, and also hold the bottom of the post up 1″ from the concrete surface to keep the bottom of the posts out of water that may accumulate on the patio. Solid, lasting anchors for pavilions, pergolas or gazebos.
